Brain Gourmet

I had great great expectations starting this book. Well, life has once again taught me that expectations usually bring along disappointment.
The only reason I am giving two stars and not one is because of the great respect I have for Kaestner's children's works. 'Three Men in the Snow' is not a children's book but it is not for adults either. This novel is black and white - the characters are either good or bad. They lack depth or substance. The whole book revolves around shallow dialogues and a naive plot. Relationships develop out of the blue and good defeats evil in the end. Worst of all, it completely failed to make me laugh and that was what I bargained for buying it.
